Digital Dentistry

The Digital Dentistry Revolution is sweeping the country. Patients and dentist like the whole procedure of chair-side scanning instead of the traditional impression tray technique.

Digital Impressions and CAD CAM are a practice changing technology. Expertec accepts all digital impression files. When digital files are used to produce monolithic restorations there is no need to have a model.

Digital Impressions

  • impressionsLess discomfort for the patient.
  • Eliminates variables associated with traditional impressions such as bubbles, pulls and voids.
  • Accuracy to 10 microns.
  • See preparation in magnified real-time 3D format.
  • Analyze and modify the preparation while patient is still in the chair.
  • Impression and Rx are emailed instantly.
  • Virtually eliminates remakes and dramatically reduces seating appointment.

PlanScan: Everything about the Planmeca PlanScan makes restorative dentistry quicker and easier. Intuitive computer-guided image capture and the plug-and-play technology gives you the freedom to scan at multiple workstations. PlanScan uses blue laser technology. Its smaller wavelength (450 nm) is more reflective, resulting in sharper images and more clinically precise prosthetics. And, of course, it’s powder-free.

3Shape Trios: Color scans, teeth shade measurement, HD photos and more. TRIOS® Color automatically measures the teeth shades as you scan. The complete shade information is sent to the lab together with the impression. The dentist has the option to evaluate and highlight relevant areas for the lab. Scanning in natural colors with TRIOS® Color provides a realistic scan experience that is not possible with black and white scans. New enhanced colors let you easily identify true preparation margins and better evaluate the clinical situation.

Cadent: iTero—powered by proprietary imaging technology—enables the dentist to take a powder-free digital scan of the patient’s teeth and bite, make any necessary adjustments in real-time, and then transmit the file via a wireless internet connection to Expertec Dental Laboratory for further processing.

3M True Definition: With 3D video technology, the 3M True Definition CAD/CAM Scanner makes it possible to capture and simultaneously view a true replica of the oral anatomy, giving the flexibility needed for quadrant dentistry and the accuracy needed for full arch dentistry. The 3M True Definition CAD/CAM scanner from 3M ESPE shatters the high financial barrier of CAD/CAM dentistry with an unprecedented and affordable retail price.
